Phalaenopsis Alsturia (stuartiana x pulchra)

Hi everybody! Time is flying... I don't know when it was the last time I was able to connect here, but I'm pleased to see my account is still good. Thanks Peter! :D Of course I have to show you my lastest Phalaenopsis primary hybrid just resgistered as Phalaenopsis Alsturia. This is stuartiana x pul...

You're welcome Peter. I'm pleased you posted the pictures. I can add that the gigantea fragrance is present in those flowers, but only a light fragrance.

I also believe that the stuartiana should be used as pod parent to get the yellow background on the progeny.

Re: Phalaenopsis Little Sister

Thanks for all the comments. 8) I got this plant in 2012 from Sonja. It has improved each year giving more and more flowers. So I'm growing it since more than 2 years, and it had already bloomed when I got it. The plant may be 5-6 years old, but it's only a rough guess. I love the red lip! 8) 8) Las...

Thanks for all the comments. 8)

There were 47 flowers on one branched spike. Alas the older spike didn't bloom although it stayed green.

Re: Phalaenopsis Alambra

Like bellina influence, but without bellina! :o Alain, congrats. I hope you have more seedlings to bloom out. It's always a treat ...

Here is a picture from my new registered cross, Phalaenopsis Alambra which was done using a Phal. pulchra as pod parent that is not solid colored and a Phal. amboinensis f. flavida. Re: Phalaenopsis Gretchen

Great seedlings Peter. And congrats to Sylvi for the great Phalaenopsis Gretchen.... I prefer the first one with the orange lip, but the second is also great.
