I just returned from dropping off some extra lab work at Orchid Origins in Genoa, Illinois. The lab is owned and operated by Shane Fletcher, formerly of Windsong Orchids. His new lab is very nice and would be very good for the small and mid scale hobbyist. Shane has many years of experience is a good guy.

Is he accepting both green pods and dry seed? And I'm assuming he's a go for colchicine treatments?

I'm bumping this thread to see if Jim or anyone has additional info on whether Shane Fletcher will accept both green pods and dry seed.

Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

Great news JimL, thanks for the heads up. Any idea on if he will do colchicine?

Why email him, when I can continue to pester you. You're right though, it would be easier to just email him :eusa-think:

But this way we all learn and only you, Jared, get on Jim's "what a pain" list. Everyone wins! :P

Daryl - you are close to CJ in NC. Maybe he could help you out with your lab work? Shipping can be costly. It would be great to drive to your lab and pickup flasks.

I'm trying my first 2, which are really just for learning my head from ass with sowing seed. If those fail miserably, I'm looking for a source for a cross I did for real plants. I'll see what's going on.

Peter,

Yeah I've already pestered CJ about doing a stem for me. He is definitely closer than IL, but it wouldn't be a "short" drive to get to him.
