I am hoping those of ya'll with a greenhouse can help me here.

How much shade cloth do I need to order? I plan on getting the 70% Aluminet. My greenhouse is approximately 20x8x7.

Should I buy it taped and grommeted?

For Texas, get 2 pieces of 70%. Have one over the greenhouse year round. And another one to cover your greenhouse from now to October.

Yes, it is easier if your shade cloth is taped and grommeted.

Be sure the shade cloth is a little bit smaller than the surface which you wish to protect. You don't want the shade cloth to hang lose over the edge. Shade cloth needs to be tied down very well.

Because you have a free standing greenhouse, you probably need shade cloth for east, south, and west side of the greenhouse too. Get 2 pieces for south and west - so you can remove one in the winter time.
