I'm so glad that I went to judging today to display this plant. This morning I spent some time preparing this plant for show. I took these pictures just in case the flowers get messed up during the transportation. It's a short drive, but you never know.

Phal. Sedona's Tiger 'Big Leaf Orchid' AM/AOS
(Tiger Butter x Venimp)

After using diluted orange juice to clean the leaves, there are still some white residues on the older leaves. But they look much better than before.

I need a taller pot so that the infl don't touch the table. I also put this plant on a short pedestal which is not photographed here.

Stunning! Richly deserved, Peter - that's exquisite!

Um.. diluted orange juice???? Better than castile soap? Obviously must be. How 'diluted'?

Nice! May I know what medium is that you're using to pot your phal?

Thank you all.

Carol - I started off with a drop of dish washing detergent to wipe off dirt on the leaves. Then I use a teaspoon of orange juice in a cup of water. You can use pure juice that is acidic and it'll get the mineral deposit on leaves off quickly. However, I use diluted juice so that the leaves won't be 'sticky' from juice and later attract mold and insect. I quickly but carefully wiped each leaves couple times. If I repeated this several times, I can get more residues out - but I don't think it is necessarily.

Neverend - I use moss and fir bark mix to grow this plant in a plastic pot. But for presentation, I covered the pot, roots with decorative moss.

Peter:
Do you remember what I said few days ago?

"Great plant Peter. Congratulations for the growing.
Cut the spikes and show the plant...
Beautiful things must be shown.
See you."

The AM confirm that I was right.
Congratulations again.
Fernando
