Congratulation to Ken Avant for excellentce in growing this beauitful plant - 527 opened flowers, 8 infls

AOS Judging at Greensboro, NC. The Judges looked this plant over well. The out come was it was awarded an HCC of 78 pts and a CCE of 92 pts. Phal. gigantea 'Tejas' HCC/CCE/AOS.

Thats awe-inspiring, ment in every meaning of the phrase. Great job, Ken.


I can't help but try to imagine treking through Borneo before collectors found the region and running into something like this while climbing a tree to get one's bearings with landmarks.

Did Ken say how old it is?

That plant deserves a CCE, not a mere CCM! Is Ken going to show it?? This is what makes me truly crazy about orchids. It's beyond words.
