I have a LD Bear King "Ben Belton", (aka Mongo) which has many spikes going right now. However the moss is looking iffy. I am thinking to repot but don't want to risk loosing the spikes. Any suggestions would be welcome.

thanks

Yes, with novelty - best time to repot is when weather is warm. They are quick to grow root - and spike to bloom happens quickly in 2 months.
In Texas it's preferably to repot in spring or Fall. Summer is too hot and stressful to repot.

IF moss is breaking down and killing off roots, you have to repot now.
