Is this the same cross as the violacea indigo seedlings you were selling on ebay last week? If not, which cross was that? I bought a few and just want to keep my notes straight.

Hi Peter,

I bought two of these from your website recently & one is now in spike :), can't wait for it to open.

Can you tell us what is the cross?

I got these from Mr Chen at Mainshow. He used selected plants from Frank Smith that originated from the Nortons.

The first of my 3 Norton strains to bloom out. Purchased them 3 years ago directly from OrchidView. This one is 'Swordfish Blue' x 'Peek-a-Blue'.

Very nice color there.

I still have several violaceas from Orchidview. The line breeding has made them better in the last few years, but I still hang onto my Orchidview plants. They are my piece of the Nortons.

My second Norton vio has opened. This one is 'Peek-a-Blue' x 'Mademoiselle Bleu'.

I am 2-for2 in blue seedlings. I am stoked.

Blue indigo on the left from Peter (Mainshow): the darkest of my Mainshow seedlings with pigment to tips of petals, but small and cupped, especially when seen next to Violacea "krull smith" AM (a magenta from KS's indigo line). Waiting for a better indigo to put on the "krull smith" for breeding. Anyone with a very large, very dark indigo wanna make a love connection? flask on me!
Mark

I was at Houston Summer Orchid Workshop. Came home Sunday to find this plant in bloom. I have it by cool pad. It's been hot and humid - expected for August in Texas.

Deep color.
