Eric - How big of saucers do you use? Here in the USA it is getting difficult to find saucers as deep as the one you show, usually half that depth. Do you think these will work OK? I'm going to try it any way with some of my orchids, but wanted your opinion.

I use different sizes depending of the orchid (5cm to 20cm in diameter). I also used "flat" saucers and it works. Like this one (about 1cm high) :
