Another update.

Others are reporting earlier growth, bigger growth, and earlier spiking with more flowers than ever. I apparently, am the only one perceiving the "short, dense spikes", and I am certain that other cultural parameters can affect that, so maybe that's what (I think) I am seeing.

Or it could all be in my mind.

Ray,

Are you using this fert every time you water or some on-off schedule with "pure" water?

I feed every time I water, and have done so for close to 20 years. For about the last year, I have been running about 75-80 ppm N.

I figure that, in nature, the meager food supply is more-or-less constant, so apply a similar philosophy.
