The only way to get smaller amounts of some of these like Tetrasan is go in with a friend and get some or find a friend that will share. Hard to ship these legally so be careful.

How toxic is Merit (I believe it is the same as Confidor here in Europe) to orchids? Does it solve the problem of mealy bugs definitevely? I have a few of them showing up here and there occasionally, but never dared to use this kind of products. I simply remove them with ethyl alcohol.

Have never used any of these, and am curious......is Enstar II and Merit used as a foliar spray only? Or, should it be mixed and watered in, throughly through potting mix? Have seen some mealies lately, but have never seen any sign of mites. Being that i've grown for this long and have never noticed any signs of mites just not sure if I should purchase tetrasan as well. Have never seen any mites or signs, so kind of feel like why treat for something i'm not seeing. But, also seems that even the best of you growers have rounds with both mealies and mites. Thanks in advance!

Mike, I use Enstar II with Bayer Tree & Shrub on my Catts for scale.....it has been a true miracle. I sprayed and watered in.
For the Mealys on my Phals, I used Neem Oil with dish liquid and it has worked quite well. I am terrified to use chemicals because I am so afraid of killing my expensive phals. I have no signs of mites either and I am not sure if it's due to the Neem or just plain good fortune.

So, you mix all three at one time and spray? When you spray, is it one time or once and three days later spray again?
