At this moment I have 2 hybrid from Mituo Orchids with blue color potential. I was asked if I know the chance of getting a blue flower.

It is unknown at this point since both crosses are new - we need to bloom more to assess what we are looking at.

From experience, cross CTL10201 Phal CTL Vio Michollens (violacea (indigo) X Zheng Min Michollens) is producing blue flower 50:50. It’s indigo with a micholitzii hybrid. Phal Zheng Min Michollens is 25% micholitzii.

AM615 Phal Mituo Samera (Mituo Prince X Samera). First one to bloom this spring is lavender. Not blue. It was the only plant I see so not enough data yet. Phal Mituo Prince is 6.3% micholitzii. note that both parents have bluish looking flower. This does not guarantee blue flower result. It's interesting to note that the blue color of Phal Mituo Prince is NOT from indigo line of Phal violacea.

AM653-2 Phal (violacea f Indigo X Mituo Prince 'Blue'). These are just starting to spike. As of today April 2017, Mituo hasn't bloomed any from this cross.

I think the chance for blue flower is the same between these two hybrid. We will find out in June when these start to flower.
