First bloom seedling by Annette.

This is Phal (African Queen x Yungo Princess Gelb) - this is the greenest bloom I've seen and doesn't change to yellow as it ages.

I doubt I'll be lucky enough to snag one of these anytime soon, but this is at the tippy top of my wish list. I think I'd empty my bank account for this one if I had to.

Do you like its color ? African Queen came from Hausermann years ago. I am glad that I bought it because I was collecting green color phalaenopsis.

The color and the patterning, but especially the color. I'm guessing from what I read in an old thread about the Yungho Princess Gelb, that the green will be especially vivid when bloomed in the Summer, more toward a yellow when bloomed in cooler weather.

Yes, I haven't been able to flower YPG as green as it did that summer. But then again this plant has been used for breeding and it has just recovered.

I'm a happy camper now. Just received my compot of baby F9-2 from Peter. Turns out he still had one on hand and offered it to me at very reasonable price. Thanks Peter.

Hmm, I see another F9-2 compot just popped up in the Big Leaf store and now it has a registered name. Fortunately, I just ordered a bunch of other plants, or else I'd probably be greedy and grab this compot too.

That is a superb flower!

Even I can appreciate that, and I am a species man that normally don't even give a second look at hybrids, but that one, WOW!

Why can't we get things like that here on this side of the pond so easily? It's not fair!

Francis
