5.5 x 6.0 cm. maybe a bit larger when fully open. Slightly fragrant. It's cloudy today.

LOL, I am calling this 'Super Red'. But I reserve the right to change the cultivar name to either 'Pylo' or 'Peter Lin' if it ever gets awarded.

It's a beautiful flower, very flat, great color. But one flower on a massive plant 12-16 inch leaf span. It has 2 spikes. One has not developed bud yet. I'm hoping that it's just that the plant is not as established. Novelty needs to become root bound, and undisturbed for a 1-2 years for them to show potential.

It's also possible that this ends up like 'Gosh' - big plant but low flower count per spike.

When 'Gosh' was awarded AM/AOS in 1997, description reads "Seven flowers and two buds on three inflorescences;" That's 2.3 flower/bud per spike.

I paired 'Gosh' with Brother Ambo Passion in hope for better flower form and flower count from Brother Ambo Passion. But now I wished I made this cross in reverse. The trouble is I no longer have 'Gosh', and my breeding plant of Brother Ambo Passion suffered mass root rot and it's recovering.

I haven't been too good at updating Peter's threads about his crosses. Here are a few.

Thanks. #1 is my favorite. I think there is something for everyone almost in those 3 flowers.

I agree. I like #1. But I wouldn't throw away #2 either. I think I would keep all 3. But since you are paying rent to keep these plants in a greenhouse, you should send them to me and save money.
I can't wait to see if this hybrid will produce more flowers next season.

Quite partial to one and three from Ben's selection. Great flowers. Here's hoping for some good vigor and flower count as well
