Really a very nice and wonderful cultivated plant, but not a Phalaenopsis speciosa, it is a Phalaenopsis tetraspis
Best greetings from Germany

This award entry has been confirmed as

Phalaenopsis speciosa var. christiana, award 20103597 and 20103598, has been confirmed to be Phalaenopsis speciosa var. christiana by SITF (Sept 2011).

See this link.

Whether confirmed or not it is still in error. P. speciosa does not exist as a living entity. The plant awarded is P. tetraspis. It is quite unfortunate that Christenson is no longer around to straighten out the would-be Phal "experts".

I agree with you Dean. We have a discussion about this plant in the last days on Orchid Source. ;)

It is "Magnifico" whatever it's called. *SIGH*....I wish they would straighten this out/come to an agreement on this....like say...mmmmmm...bellina/violacea.....???

Whatever you choose to call it, it appears that it (this color form) breeds very differently than the typical form.
